Case studies and Testimonials
If you want to find out more about Go Live and the projects we have undertaken with our partners, read on…
The Tablet Academy is an independent organisation that supports educational institutions in the integration of new and technologies. They support over 700 schools and train over 12,000 teachers a year. We worked with them to scope, plan, design, implement and populate their learning platform for schools.
We continue to support them with ongoing content updates and platform management.
ALLIANCE OF LEADING LEARNING
The Alliance of Leading Learning provides professional learning for new teachers, schools requiring support and future educational leaders. They work with a large number of schools within Wales, the West Midlands and the North West and required a learning platform to improve their face to face and distance learning offer. We provided strategic guidance, liaised with their technical partner and then training on how to use their chosen LMS.
We are currently engaged to author more training content.
Outstanding Training Delivery
Go Live allowed Primary Goal to transform their existing curriculum into a school specialised programme with interactive features and flipped learning content approach. Go Live provided us with outstanding training delivery for our school based apprentices during the pandemic on O365 and Google which allowed them to respond to the challenge of remote/hybrid learning during lockdown. Joe and Andy have openly shared real time help and support with our apprentices to navigate their journey on the Digital Champion programme and on a practical basis in their environment.
We would not hesitate to recommend
We engaged Joe to help us transform the digital learning that our pupils received. Just over a year ago we had no computing curriculum in place and very limited opportunities for pupils to develop their digital skills. Joe has been brilliant, working with our staff and SLT to ensure that we have the right software, hardware, curriculum and staff skills to bring our learning into the 21st Century. We would not hesitate to recommend him to any other school.
Truly inspiring our students
As regional principal of 12 schools in 8 countries speaking 7 languages, implementing a new Learning Management System was always going to be a challenge! This challenge has been made far easier having Andy Murden working alongside us. Throughout, his patience, adaptability and ability to see the problems through the eyes of the users and leadership have been invaluable. Andy is thorough and creative and has produced a solution that allows our teachers to be structured yet spontaneous in producing online learning experiences that are truly inspiring our students. Just to add that beyond his technical ability, Andy always adds a buoyancy and good humour that makes him a pleasure to work with.
The strategic development of IT provision
Kingswood School required an Interim Director of IT until the permanent position was filled. Andy spent a fixed term working at Kingswood School supporting the development of IT and helping to lay the foundations for the adoption of an IT delivery strategy. He is an excellent communicator, and working closely with the network manager, he helped the team to create a more transparent working relationship between the IT team and the wider School community.
Andy is utterly professional, and throughout his time at Kingswood he used his considerable experience to add a great deal of value to the work of the department. I recommend Andy as a highly capable IT professional who was able to apply his considerable educational experience, to progress the strategic development of IT provision at Kingswood School.
Excellent and tailored training on O365 and Teams
Andy from GoLive delivered excellent and tailored training on O365 and Teams for a client of ICTn’s in the construction industry. The training was received incredibly well by the staff and the advantages of utilising Teams for on-site workers became more apparent to them. Feedback from the management team was that all workers were engaged and enthused following the training.
Expertise in online learning
Andy played an important role in the team we put together to develop a new online teaching qualification, the Level 4 Award in Teaching Online, which was accredited by the Awards for Training and Higher Education (ATHE) body and is now available on the Ofqual register. The qualification was commissioned by Wey Education and includes 38 guided learning hours covering an introduction to online teaching and learning, planning, teaching with synchronous tools, online content development, formative and summative assessment, collaborative learning with wikis, observation and self-reflection and self-development for online learning. Andy contributed to several of the modules, bringing both expertise in online and blended learning and also in-depth understanding of schools. Not only did he create excellent content, but he delivered on time and worked extremely well with the rest of the team.
Exactly what we required
Andy and Phil quickly understood our requirements and their professional experience and valuable insights added significant value to the work. They created a high quality digital training manual and delivered this very effectively to a diverse staff body.
Experienced, accomplished, and extremely competent
Andy is an experienced school leader and an accomplished project manager, taking full ownership of remit, agile and responsive to changes in the project timeline. He has very good skills in designing training, delivering training and matching the needs of the group. Andy can engage those least experienced with technology and those with high levels of capability. He has trained new IT administrators and staff in a range of contexts, at both our Head Office and in School.
Andy is extremely competent in the area of Learning Management Systems and School Information Systems., able to solve complex problems with system interoperability. He is multi-skilled in being able to isolate possible causes of error and to connect up those who could fix it.
Andy communicates with clarity at all levels in the organisation. Completely dependable in responding to communications about the project or implementation at any time of the day or night. With us working with Australia and New Zealand late night and early morning conference calls were regular.
Couldn’t be happier
I debated for a long time about how to integrate some simple systems and accesses within our small but growing business. I needed to ‘get with it’ but didn’t know how to do it or even what ‘It’ needed to look like.
After discussing with Joe, I was persuaded to look at Google G-Suite. Joe talked me through it, set it up for us and delivered the simple training that it required.
Couldn’t be happier.
I would not hesitate to recommend Joe to any Muti Academy Trust
I’ve worked with Joe on several projects mapping the learning outcomes and student journey our the curriculum being delivered in over 250 schools. Joe consistently delivers on projects and provides excellent value for what he does. I would not hesitate to recommend Joe to any Muti Academy Trust
We would have struggled to replicate with any other partner
Joe’s extensive experience of working in education brought an extra layer of value to our project that we would have struggled to replicate with any other partner. We hope to continue working with Joe long-term to further develop our offerings in education.
We simply could not have sustained our reputation
We simply could not have sustained our reputation for exemplary leadership training for the Department of Education without Joe and his team. These have been challenging times and the professional guidance and ability to adapt to our changing demands has proved beyond doubt the confidence to trust Joe and his expertise. As we move forward Go Live Training will continue to be a major part of our development
